Bolwell's design and engineering team plays an important role in our customer service.

The team includes industrial design, aerospace and plastics engineers plus professional pattern makers and tool makers. Engaged at the beginning of each project, their combined input makes a significant contribution to a successful outcome. We consider this service fundamental, since our own success is so closely tied to the success of our customers.

Our team’s industry experience ensures a cost-effective process that not only saves time and dollars but also improves the product quality and overall productivity.

Since its first days of business in the early 1960s, Bolwell has been design focused. Our own products and their commercialisation have largely resulted from an ability to understand a problem and to create an attractive and practical solution to it. This strength is made freely available to every one of our customers to assist them in developing maximum opportunity for their product's success.

BOLWELL'S DESIGN AND ENGINEERING TEAM:

Campbell Bolwell set the company's high design standards throughout the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's culminating in the 2008 Nagari Sportscar.  His credentials include the entire family of Bolwell sportscars - built from 1962 through 1974; the award-winning Bolwell amusement rides built in Australia, Taiwan, Mexico and the United Kingdom; the Bolwell playground equipment built in Australia during the 1980s and in Vietnam in the 1990s, as well as in personally applying his skills to customer products - marine, general industrial, road, rail and automotive throughout the company's history.

Campbell is also a published author. His book Designer, Creator, Manager (Longman Professional, 1992) has been distributed throughout Australia and has been used as recommended reading for design students.  He has conducted several seminar tours through Southeast Asia teaching and expounding on the design philosophies discussed in his book.

Vaughan Bolwell, Campbell's son, is an integral member of the design team and his work is visible in almost all current Bolwell products and solutions. Vaughan brings practical creativity to Bolwell's internal processes and technology development and is personally involved at all levels of the manufacturing process. Vaughan's credentials include a Masters Degree in Industrial Design culminating in the concept, design and production of the Carbon Fibre track bike for the Australian Cycle team - winning multiple Gold medals in the 1996 Commonwealth Games.

Vaughan is often called on by customers to quickly solve product design and production issues. He currently heads Bolwell's R&D division.

James Zegir, Bolwell's Technical Manager, is a highly qualified aerospace engineer. He leads Bolwell's innovative technical department where all aspects of a product's design, re-design for manufacture, CAD (Computer Aided Design) modelling, pattern making and tooling is undertaken.
