FIBREGLASS Fibreglass (GRP - Glass Reinforced Plastic) or similar fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) have the advantage of low tooling costs, high strength-to-weight ratio and the ability to create complex shapes that combine to make a range of purpose-specific parts. Fire retardant resins can be used to further enhance the physical properties of your products. Bolwell is an experienced OEM supplier and offers contract composite manufacturing to industry. We have onsite pattern and tooling making facilities and can produce your moulds from CAD, 2D drawings or even sketches. Our laminating technologies include RTM Lite (resin transfer moulding), Vacuum Infusion, Hand and Spray Lay-up. The specific moulding process used to manufacture your product is chosen based on the product design and production volumes to give the most economical solution. Resins used include polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy in combination with fibreglass, carbon fibre and aramid (Kevlar) reinforcements. We work with our customers to ensure the lay-up schedule chosen will meet their specific technical requirements. |
